Time so far: 3 hours 30 minutes 2 seconds
Ok now the strategy changes. I have to solve the last two
centers without messing up any of the other 4. First I have to realize that
this is an even cube (what?) so I
have to find out which face each center is supposed to be on. Using the
corners I can find this out very quickly. Once I know where the centers need
to go I use a move that moves a few pieces from one of the unsolved centers
to the other. This takes a while to do since I can only move a few pieces at
a time (typically 1 or 2 but sometimes as many as 8 or 9). I start on the
edges of each unsolved center and work towards the middle. This is again
because it is much easier to locate the pieces that are hugging the edge when
doing this cube quickly.
