This is the first step of my solution, about a hundred or so moves in. Here I am solving opposite colored rows on opposite faces. I am working from the outside inward as it is easier to locate the pieces close to the edge when the cube is completely scrambled. I use the front face to build each row, and after I've built each row I place it on its correct face.
