| 3 months | Hoe Tze Han | Started mid-September 2007 using Toys R Us' beginner LBL method, can't remember the exact date though. It wasn't until end of September before I got my own cube and starting learning Fridrich. Had learnt 21 PLL and 40+ OLL when I did this average 10 of 12. | 20080102 |
| 100 days | Stefan Huber | I started learning algorithms Thursday, April 19th. Before that I was able to solve the cube for a few weeks, though. The first average was 19.79, the second one 19.45. Both non-RA | 20070728 |
| 110 days | John Shepard | I started the rubik's cube on March 31 2007 during our spring break because it was becoming popular in our high school, I guess because it was in The Pursuit of Happyness. The video of the times is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYGUYY_6pDc | 20070718 |

| 151 days | Warren Liao | I just got a sub-20 average today, April 29th. I started last year at the end of November and beginning of December. I learned the whole cube myself in the beginning and invented my own way of F2L with my most confortable finger tricks instead of memorizing them (This way is 5 moves more on average than Jessica's F2L). I also invented my own way of doing OLL, but I found out it was way slower than Jesicca's OLL, so I memorized some of the shorter OLLs. Today's average was 19.74. There was a 15.64 but that was considered a little lucky (unintentional extended cross), but that time was thrown out for fastest time anyways. | 20050429 |
| 160 days | Anthony Benis | I started cubing in Mid November 2006 and achieved my average of 19.98 on April 28 2007, so I would say about 160 days. | 20070430 |

| 364 days | Ravi Fernando | August 3, 2004 to August 2, 2005. I just had to beat a year. My first unofficial rules sub-20 avg was on July 19. My site. [Team Epsilon] | 20040802 |
| 1 year 5 days | Wuqiong Fan | I finally did it! It's about one year and a week or so. I first solved my cube during the 2nd week of CTY last summer. After a few days I was solving for speed. I remember getting happy for 2min solves. 18.17 19.69 19.97 22.47 20.38 (17.97) 19.66 19.03 18.06 21.05 20.94 (25.64) = 19.94 This was done fast and choppy. After taking a break I decided to solve casually. To my surprise the first solve was sub-20! So I did just 5 solves and they were all sub-20: 19.59 19.55 18.89 (17.94) (19.77) = 19.34 | 20080712 |
| 455 days | Michael Swan | Yay! 19.90 second average. | 20071219 |

And I reached sub-20 average on the 26 of May 2008. Here are my results: Average: 19.61 Individual Times: 19.00 18.45 21.67 19.72 19.19 17.61 22.09 (16.48) 19.97 (23.58) 17.06 21.30 | 20080723 |

| 575 days | Emile Compion | This is only an estimate. I first solved the cube in January 2006. I'm very happy about finally getting a sub-20 average. I use the Fridrich method with a 3-look LL. I'd like to thank Mitchell Stern Rhodri Mativo and Scott Leslie for encouraging me to break this cubing barrier and Dan Harris and Leyan Lo for having great websites with even greater algorithms. Am I fast yet? ;) 18.16 19.33 20.30 (23.48) 17.91 20.47 22.72 19.94 19.24 21.98 18.27 (17.86) = 19.83 avg | 20070901 |
| 730 days | Tristan Wright | 19.98 barely sub-20 Can't totally be sure about the exact day that I first solved the cube, just i know it was mid-july 2005. Feels so good to be sub-20 at last!! My website. | 20070715 |
| 2 years 10 months | Arthur Adams | Give or take. P | 20081109 |
| 4 years 9 months 20 days | Chris Hardwick | I don't remember the exact date that I first decided to seriously learn to solve the cube, but I consider it to be around mid-June of 1998. In that case my time should really be 4 years 9 months 20 days +/- 10 days. | 199806 |
