Dutch Cube Day 2003

The 23rd Dutch Cube Day was held in Veldhoven, The Netherlands on Saturday October 11, 2003.
More than 150 people gathered in the ASML building 7.

At the end of the Dutch Cube Day there was a speedcubing competition, organized by Jaap Scherphuis.
We used the official timers of the 2003 world championship. This made it all look very official, and probably therefore only 7 speedcubers dared to compete.
There was clearly a lot of pressure with more than 50 people watching. Most contestants were very nervous.
The format was "2nd best time of 3 attempts". Ron van Bruchem won the competition with a middle time of 18.77 seconds.
