OrganisationThe Benelux Open 2010 Rubik's Cube is organised by Speedcubing.com (Ton Dennenbroek and Ron van Bruchem) together with World Cube Association and volunteers.During the championship the official WCA regulations will be applied. Results of the championship will be added to the official WCA World Rankings. Before the competition starts all competitors can practice on the official timing equipment: the Stackmat timer. All puzzle brands may be used during the competition, as long as the puzzles comply to the WCA regulations. The championship will be held in the youth hostel: Zonnewende Esscheweg 78 5271 NA Sint Michielsgestel The Netherlands All competitors must be registered before February 18, 2010 AND before we reach 60 competitors. All competitors must be available for scrambling and judging. Before the competition the organiser will inform you about where you have to fulfil scrambling and judging tasks. If you have any questions, feel free to contact organiser Ton Dennenbroek. Cost of registrationRegistration for the competition will be 6 euros per person (competitors and guests). We would appreciate if all competitors would stay at the youth hostel. In that case the cost for the whole weekend will be 71 euros per person, depending on how many people will stay at the youth hostel.This includes:
There are rooms for 8 persons (4 bunk beds) and a few for 4 persons and 2 persons (1 bunk bed). Room allocation will be done by organisation team. The smaller rooms will be allocated for couples. You can take your own bed linen and towels or rent it for 5 euros for the weekend. Provisional time schedule

Travelling to Sint MichielsgestelClosest airport is Eindhoven airport.From Eindhoven airport you can take the bus to Eindhoven train station. From there the train to Den Bosch (= 's Hertogenbosch) and the bus to Sint Michielsgestel. From there it is a 25 minutes walk to the venue. Other options are Amsterdam airport (AMS, Schiphol) and Rotterdam airport. In both cases you can take the train to Den Bosch, and so on. The Dutch cubers are very willing to pick you up at Den Bosch train station or Sint Michielgestel bus station. Just let us know by e-mail. |
