Amsterdam by airplane

Schiphol, Amsterdam's international airport, is a major airport in the world.
From Schiphol you can take the train and be in the centre of Amsterdam within 25 minutes.
From Amsterdam Central Station it is only a 5 minutes walk to the venue and the recommended hotels.
Schiphol website

The trains at Schiphol leave at the same level as the arrival hall. So follow the signs, buy a ticket and go down the rolling stairs.
When you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, leave the station on the front side (at the back there is just a boring lane and a lot of water) and walk to the left to the buses. From there you should be able to see Botel and Nemo. Walk across the metal bridge.
From Nemo walk to the right, cross the busy street and after 300 meters on the right you will find Ibis Hotel.

Amsterdam by car

Amsterdam has many main roads to other European cities.
Check out map24.com to plan your trip.

Highway A10 is also called the "Ring of Amsterdam". Take exit S116 Noord/Centrum from A10 and follow the signs Centrum.
You will go through the IJtunnel. Nemo is above the exit of the IJtunnel.

Parking in Amsterdam is very expensive (up to 40 euros a day).
We recommend the Markenhoven parking garage (28 euro per day, 3 euro per hour) because it is close to the venue and hotels.
At the end of the IJtunnel drive up and to the left, to go straight to the Markenhoven parking garage.

Free parking is possible in Amsterdam North, in an area called Buikslotermeer.
Take highway A10, exit S116 Noord/Centrum.
Then follow the signs "Buikslotermeerplein".
Park your car not at the Buikslotermeerplein itself (this is only 2.5 hours parking), but near the big flats, where parking is free.
From Buikslotermeerplein you can take any bus to bring you to Amsterdam Central Station.

There is also free parking at train station Duivendrecht, from which you can take a train to Amsterdam Central Station.
